Kipawa River Rally #27 - its a wrap

Here are my notes from the Les Amis AGM (2013) edition. The AGM took place on June 23rd at 7:30 PM at the Kipawa River Lodge In attendance: Luc Lafreniere Amelie Mercier Jeremy Roy Peter Karwacki Scott Sorensen Pat Sorensen Rick Issacson Jacques Tejeda Dan Jutzi Kate McKerlie Gerry Bedard Larry McNaughton Felix Touzin Patrick Lesage Annie Chapdelaine Simon Carrier Maxime Geoffray Peter Karwacki called the meeting to order. He advised that a quorum had been reached. Each registration entitled the individual registered to vote and participate at the AGM. The minutes from the AGM 2012 were read to the membership. Mr. Karwacki gave his president's report. A baseline of water quality should be established near the mouth of the Kipawa. Vigilance should be established concerning developments on Lake Kipawa. Relationships with Algonquins and the Provincial government should be fostered to ensure future water releases. This year the rally includes T-shirts and Hats. It appears that the rally will break even. Mr. Karwacki presented the financial report on behalf of Francois Diebolt who was unable to attend the rally. The bank balance as at April 2012 at $4,435.15. The financial report is attached. The elections were held. Gerry Bedard assumed the chair for the elections. Peter Karwacki was acclaimed as president. Luc LaFreniere was acclaimed as vice president Amelie Mercier was acclaimed as membership chair/secretary Francois Diebolt was acclaimed as treasurer. Non voting positions: Jeremie Roy was appointed rally coordinator Advisory executive members was established and include Maxime Geoffroy Scott Sorensen Rick Issacson Annie Chapdelaine Simon Carrier Felix Touzin Patrick Lesage Mr. Karwacki announced the 2013-2014 would be his last term as president after which he would resign from the executive. The advisory board members were established to create a pool of members who could possibly assume the president/vice president's role. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM
