Scotia Mocatta premium for Silver Maples hits all time high of 32.9

AT 10:51 EST SILVER MAPLES, WHICH ARE SOLD OUT, are priced at 25.90 while the spot price of silver at KITCO is 19.48, a difference of 32.9%

This is the highest margin since I began tracking it in 2009 when it was around 8%.

To the price of the silver maple must be added shipping and administration raising the cost of the physical metal, if you can get it, considerably higher.


As of January 11, 2014 the margin has increased to 33%

As of January 28th the margin has increased to 36.5% ie a silver maple is valued at $26.66 on a silver spot price of $19.525

 As at January 30th the margin increased to 37.4% $26.30 retail /19.13 spot.

As at January 31st the margin increased to 38.3% $26.52 retail/19.175 spot

As of February 1st Margin 38.59%  $26.52 per silver maple/ 19.165 spot market price

  2. The premium as of 2014 01 21 is the highest its ever been at Scotia Mocatta 26.67 per silver maple over 19.83 silver spot price, a mark up of 34.5%

  3. As of 2014 -01-26 the premium for silver maples offered by Scotia Mocatta is 35%!!!

    That's 19.94 spot price and Retail sales price of one silver maple of $26.92 Cdn.
