Tree Hazzards at Zipper Rapid -



At the recent level of 270 cms (estimated) ZIPPER was awesome!!!\ However, there is also a long tree hanging down into the river left side of Zipper. The tree in Zipper is way up the bank and hangs out into the river. This is not something that can be removed prior to the 2014 rally. The level will most likely go down before the rally and the tree should hopefully be released (if it hasn't already). Picnic rapid also has a tree in it. Paddlers recently tried to remove the tree in Picnic, but the water level was just insane and kept recirculating it back into the hole.... These are the types of hazzards we'll need to inform attendees about in advance of the rally weekend and during as well.
