For years we have recognized the immense value of having non paddlers seeing the Kipawa First hand by walking the trail or rafting.
Esprit Rafting has done an great service in introducing the non- paddler and helping to put a public face to the river, especially to local population from Temiskaming.
This is what is known as an "on the river program" for river preservation and is a strategic method of broadening public support.
What is required now is to build on this public outrage. We have namedthe source of the problem now we must set upon him a veritable nest of hornets. Only public spotlight, telephone calls, letters that demand a response, appeals to overlords and political masters, appeals to the real opposition in this country> the MEDIA, anything anyone can do to help would be appreciated.
In the meantime, we have a new legal challenge, which is what these socalled managers have arranged, tort action for loss of business. This was a disenting opinion at the Supreme Court in the OldMan River case.
Make 'em pay - but with our own money sadly.
...And curse the day we came to appreciate lawyers pleading both sides of an issue with equal aplomb.
